MHL Podcast: Should Habs Strip C From Pacioretty? Should The NHL Ban Headshots?

In the latest Murphy’s Hockey Law on CLNS Media, Jimmy Murphy and co-host Terry Ryan – a former Montreal Canadiens player – discuss the early season struggles of the team that drafted him eighth overall in 1995, and the suggestions from some media and fans that maybe the Habs should pull the captaincy from Max Pacioretty. They also react to Nick Kypreos’ report on Hockey Night In Canada last Saturday that if Montreal goes back into a slump, they could actually consider trading Carey Price.

Ryan and Murph then discuss headshots and more specifically, Ken Dryden’s recent book Game Change: The Life And Death of Steve Montador, in which Dryden directly challenges NHL commissioner Gary Bettman to once and for all ban headshots. Ryan gives his take on the topic getting into the lifelong battle he has fought with post-concussion syndrome.
